Delta Hotels opens its doors in Baltimore

Eddie Applefeld

It’s always good news to see something new opening in downtown Baltimore.  On Jan.16, the new Delta Hotels Baltimore’s Inner Harbor opened its doors at 1 East Redwood, a historic building dating to 1904. It is managed by Aimbridge Hospitality and owned by Trangroup.

There are 150 rooms with various designs and styles. Pictures of Baltimore adorn each room and the hallways. Actually, the hotel is themed after well-known Baltimorean Edgar Allen Poe. One giveaway is the restaurant is called Telltale. Another is that some of the cocktails have names that harken back to Poe, such as “And Never More” and “The Pit and the Pendulum.”

Besides the restaurant, the hotel also has a fitness center, business center, a coffee shop, complimentary bottled water in the room, free Wi-Fi, and valet parking for$40.00 per night.
