Each week, Recreation News takes you to a new waterfall in the Mid-Atlantic. This week, see Enfield Falls in Ithaca, N.Y.

Location: Robert H. Treman State Park, Ithaca
Height: 70 feet
Enfield Falls is one of 12 waterfalls in the Robert H. Treman state park. It is easily accessible from the park’s parking lot, and in the summer becomes a swimming hole for visitors and locals.
More information: Trails follow the gorge past 12 waterfalls, including the 115-foot Lucifer Falls, to where visitors can see a mile-and-a-half down the wooded gorge as it winds its way to the lower park. All together, there are 9 miles of hiking trails.

Ithaca is home to more than 150 waterfalls,. According to the website, that means you can go to up to Cornell University, down to the Ithaca Commons, or head to one of the state parks, and you’ll undoubtedly stumble upon a waterfall.
